Julius Pertillar, Trainer

Julius has deep roots in New England both as a player and coach. After attending Windsor High School in Connecticut, Julius played goalkeeper for Salem State University and led the Vikings to several conference championships as well as one NCAA elite eight appearance. He signed his first professional contract with the Rhode Island Stingrays. He also played the goalkeeper position for the New Hampshire Phantoms, the Connecticut Wolves, as well as having been called up to the New England Revolution during his professional career.  His craft has also been enhanced by spending time in Europe playing and coaching.

Currently, Julius is the Senior Boys Director for the Aztec Soccer Club. Previously, he spent time developing student athletes at Bradford Christian Academy in Bradford.  He was the assistant coach at The College of Holy Cross with the women’s soccer team, where he helped guide the team to their most wins in 25 years. Prior to Holy Cross, Julius was the former goalkeeper coach for the men and women varsity soccer teams at Brooks Academy in North Andover winning New England championships with both teams.  He also coached at a number of youth soccer clubs in the New England area including Galway Rover FC in Cohasset, Mass and Amaral Soccer Academy in Western Massachusetts and NEFC in the Boston/Metro North regions. In recent years, Julius served as a volunteer assistant coach for the Harvard University men's soccer team.

Julius’ passion for the sport and drive to improve athletes with discipline and technique is truly exceptional. He invests in his athletes on and off the field providing mentorship in achieving athletic and academic goals.
