History

In 2007, Mo Keita started Skillz Check Soccer Academy after being involved in youth soccer programs for many years. As a successful player and coach, Mo was passionate about developing young athletes to achieve their best on the field.

With a proven history of training athletes and teams that would go on to local, regional and national success, Mo developed the Skillz Check curriculum in order to provide a broader group of young athletes with individual coaching - through both small group and private training – to achieve a high degree of technical and tactical proficiency.

Since its inception, the Skillz Check program has expanded to include a wide range of offerings for the town to elite level player. In addition to individualized and small-group training, the program now offers tournament, camp, college showcase and year-round clinic opportunities.

Former players have benefited greatly from the Skillz Check training, including Sam Lofton, a former James Madison University standout, 2015 draft selection of the Boston Breakers and presently a professional player for Breidablik in the Urvalsdeild league, one of Iceland’s top premiere soccer league.

“If you can train with [Mo], hold on to that for dear life because he made me such a better player.”

Mo has an experienced group of trainers who have made Skillz Check one of the most respected and renowned soccer training programs in all of New England.
