Advanced Training & Development
Skillz Check will offer winter drop-in skillz training on Fridays in Wilmington during the winter of 2022-23 for players ages 9 to 16. These sessions will focus on technical skill development and every session will end with friendly scrimmage play. Players interested in the drop-in program must register for every individual session.
Private lessons are available through Skillz Check Soccer Academy for players looking to compete at the next level. Individualized training helps the players to identify their strengths as coaches work with players to overcome their challenges on the field. Trainings are designed to give players a competitive advantage and reach their full potential.
Skillz Check maintains an active role in local communities with the goal of providing positive soccer experiences to players of all levels and professional-level support to the town organizers, board members and volunteer coaches. As a dedicated skills development program, Skillz Check is a perfect complement for town or club programs looking to provide its players with additional training opportunities.
Our Skillz Check coaches will be offering six (6) weeks of Spring Player & Goalkeeper Skillz for players looking to sharpen their skillz and maximize their touches. Our Spring Player & Goalkeeper Skillz program will run through the month of May outdoors at Bishop Fenwick High School and will feature individual skillz work aimed at giving field players and goalkeepers the confidence they need to improve their game.
Skillz Check hosts goalkeeper training that allows players to learn and fine-tune the techniques and skills required to become a great goalkeeper. The clinics cover the main techniques and skills of goalkeeping: specific warm ups, footwork, handling, diving, shot stopping, and more. Goalkeeper trainings are managed by professional trainer Mustapha Achab.
